About Domonique
A luminary who exudes presence and intentionality, Domonique Worship is an Executive Coach and Leadership Advisor who empowers leaders to uncover, embody, and actualize their full potential. With a nuanced understanding of what it takes for her clients to lead with purpose, Domonique guides clients through pivotal changes leading to fulfillment in life and work.
Before coaching and working with leaders from companies such as YouTube, DoorDash, MasterClass, and Hinge, Domonique was an integral changemaker for the National Basketball Association (NBA) where she served as the Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion. She earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her B.A. in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Florida.
Hi, I’m Domonique. And this is my story.
In 2014, Harvard Law degree in hand, I stepped into one of the most renowned law firms in the world. I excelled by all traditional metrics, was labeled a “rising star,” and was told I was on partner track.
Despite the external validation, I felt a deep disconnect.
The work I was doing didn’t align with my values or the impact I wanted to create. To be totally frank - I was miserable, climbing the ladder of someone else’s definition of success.
The partners at the firm – despite having the best of intentions - were investing in the version of success they envisioned for me, not the version that resonated with the core of who I was and what I wanted for myself. It's a common trap, isn't it? Leaders invest in the potential they see, without truly understanding the unique aspirations of the individual they’re trying to support.
So for the first time, I pivoted.
I made a leap to the National Basketball Association as Associate Counsel for their Global Partnerships group, then ultimately - another pivot - as Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion, a role that put me on the HR leadership team. Once again, I found myself on a fast track to success. From the outside in, it looked like I was living the dream.
But still, within me, there was a deep sense of unfulfillment.
My work didn’t allow me to fully leverage my gifts and make the impact I knew I was capable of creating. The persistent whisper of longing for a greater sense of alignment had turned into a scream that I could no longer ignore.
This journey ultimately ignited my passion for helping other leaders avoid some of the pitfalls that I witnessed and experienced.
Today, I support high impact companies in unlocking the extraordinary potential within their teams.
By having the right conversations and making the right investments in their greatest asset: their people.
I empower leaders to achieve exceptional alignment, where their strengths, their values, and their purpose come together in a way that feels truly fulfilling, and allows them to be fully actualized and contribute to their full potential.
There is - of course - a longer story here, but now I work daily with high-potential leaders who share with me the same feelings and challenges I experienced firsthand.
These multi-passionate leaders tell me how they deliver results but feel unfulfilled, or “all over the place” in their desires. I understand because I’ve been in their shoes. Together, we uncover their values, the impact they wish to create, and the ways in which their diverse interests and perspectives make them outstanding leaders.
